SERIDAR is an action project, sponsored by European Commission EuropeAid Directorate General for Development and Cooperation. It aims to articulate an institutional model between the European Union and Latin America, through the creation of a Competence Center for rural development, natural resources and food value chains. Its general objective is the contribution to the development of Higher Education (HE) in Andean and Mesoamerican regions through the institutionalisation of education, research and high quality training networks in sustainable rural development, natural resources and agricultural value chains which are international, regional and locally integrated. Through this vehicle, the goal is to unify and potentialize the efforts of the interested parties in orientate changes towards a balanced and fair socioeconomic development and the environment protection of this iberoamerican area.
